Up 2012/13 Shutdown, Quebec (Dec 25, 2012 to Jan 4, 2013) Prev Next Slideshow

This year’s work shutdown trip started with an xmas drive to Chicoutimi. Conditions were so good in L’Etape, I stopped for a quick 100 miles of perfection. I then rode for 5 days in the Saguenay area. There was plenty of snow in the mountains, but the valley was thin and conditions not so good. On Sunday I drove to Bernieres and met Marty for a 3 day ride in Chaudiere, which was unreal. Perfect conditions and a lot of grooming. Tuesday we drove to Shawinigan for a 3 day with Don and Phil. Conditions around Shawinigan were horrible to start. Conditions out here weren’t as good as Chaudiere, but were ok, especially Friday. There were a lot of branches leaning into the trails and some trails/water-xings weren’t open. Oil consumption seemed to get worse after the re-flash, I only got 550 miles a gallon. I was even with the 600-SDI, over 600 miles I thought, on the Gaspe trip.
